Local Outreach

We are the hands and feet of our Living God by helping to provide for those in need through our partnerships, food drives and service. Deuteronomy 15:11

• 1 in 5 Arizonans (including 1 in 4 children) live in poverty – ranking Arizona 49th out of 50 states (2010 U.S. Census Bureau report).
• 1 in 4 children under 18 in Arizona are struggling with hunger – ranking Arizona 48th (2010 Feeding America report).
• 1 in 3 Arizonans are considered “working poor” living at or below 185% Federal Poverty Level.

Living Word is partnering with local food banks and missions here in the valley to help combat this growing problem. One local mission we are working with serves nearly 8,000 meals a week! To keep up with this tremendous need it takes resources and time from volunteers across the Valley. You can truly be a blessing to the hurting and homeless by donating items and time.
