What Living Word Kids Is All About

At Living Word Kids, we welcome children from nursery through 5th grade with open arms, creating a vibrant and inclusive community for young hearts to flourish. Fun is at the forefront of our approach, ensuring that every child knows that church is an exciting and enjoyable place to be. Alongside the laughter and games, we are dedicated to nurturing strong biblical literacy, equipping our kids with a solid foundation in scripture to guide them throughout their lives. Moreover, we foster an environment where lifelong friendships naturally blossom, providing a supportive network that extends beyond the walls of our ministry. Together, these elements form the essence of our mission: to create a space where children feel loved, valued, and empowered to grow in their faith and friendships.

Here's how it works at Living Word Kids:

  • When you come in for the first time, we get your family profile set up on our Church Center app. Through this app you can manage your children’s ages, grades, medical notes, and more. You can also access notes on their visit, see when they were dropped off and picked up, and more. From there, we print tags for your kids to wear so teachers know their names, grades, emergency contact, and any special medical needs. The parents are provided a unique pick-up tag each time they check their children in that matches the tag your child wears.
  • Each and every volunteer and staff member working in our Living Word Kids areas have been background checked and vetted. Your child’s safety and well-being is our primary concern, alongside introducing them more and more to the love of Jesus and who He is.
  • We plan out our curriculum for the whole year in advance. In 2026, quarter one will be focused on answering the question Who Is God? and quarter two on answering Who Is Jesus? We will round out the year with sections on who the Holy Spirit is, and who WE are in Christ Jesus. Living Word Kids Director

Pastor Camille Anderson

Pastor Camille Anderson brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role in children’s ministry, with ten years of experience. For the past six years, she has served as the director of Living Word Kids, where her passion for nurturing young hearts shines through her work. Holding a degree in chemistry from ASU, Camille’s unique blend of academic acumen and spiritual fervor enriches her ministry approach, fostering an environment where children not only thrive but also develop a deeper understanding of their faith. She is married to Pastor Laken Anderson, the worship director overseeing all Living Word campuses. Together, they illustrate a shared devotion to serving their community and fostering spiritual growth across generations. Camille inspires others through her unwavering kindness, grace, dedication, and love for God’s work.

Champion's Club

Champion’s Club is a class room expertly designed to keep children with special needs engaged and involved. Activities in the classrooms include interactive learning opportunities, sensory-conscious play areas, and technology reactive to touch and sound. Our goal is to make sure each and every child knows their importance and that they’re valued in the eyes of God and by everyone here at Living Word.
