Welcome to Living Word! Good morning, and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason! Today we're talking about God's glory that has been placed inside of you and learning how to let that glory come out into the world around you. Psalm 35:27 reminds us to “Let the Lord be magnified.” Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason talk about how easy it is to focus on our circumstances, our struggles, our fear, our doubt, or even our bad days. But what's on the outside doesn't change what God has already placed on the inside of you. They use the picture of a treasure in a jar of clay to explain how God's greatness can be inside ordinary people. We may get tired, discouraged, anxious, or frustrated, but the treasure inside us is greater than the things trying to hold us back. So how do we let that treasure out? Watch what comes out of your mouth. Instead of constantly speaking what is, start speaking what God says will be. God didn't look at the darkness and simply describe it—He said, “Let there be light.” Your words can begin to change the atmosphere around you. Maybe your marriage isn't where you want it to be. Maybe your job is difficult. Maybe you're facing a financial struggle or a situation that seems impossible. Don't let your circumstances put a lid on your faith. Begin speaking God's goodness, His promises, and His finished work into your situation. Take the lid off. Let Christ in you be revealed. Your family, your circumstances, your future, and even the mountains in front of you are waiting to see what God has placed inside of you come out. Take the Lid Off: Let God’s Glory Shine Through You
Welcome to Living Word! Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot! Today we're talking about confidence and how guilt, shame, and condemnation can keep us from moving forward in the life God has for us. When we constantly look at our mistakes and think, “God can't bless me because of what I've done,” it can destroy our confidence and keep us stuck. Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot dive into Hebrews 9 and the powerful truth that Jesus didn't just pay for our sins—He also cleanses our conscience from the dead works of our past. Jesus entered the Most Holy Place once for all, obtaining eternal redemption through His own blood. Sometimes our biggest obstacle isn't what happened in our past—it's the way our guilty conscience keeps reminding us of it. We think we have to earn God's love or somehow work hard enough to deserve His goodness. But the price has already been paid. It's a gift. That doesn't mean we never make mistakes. We do! But when we mess up, we don't have to live under condemnation. We can come to God, say we're sorry, get back up, and keep moving forward. God's hand is not against you—it is for you. Confidence isn't about believing that you can do everything on your own. It's about knowing what Christ can do through you. When you walk with confidence in Christ, you can rise above the circumstances trying to hold you down—the setback, the failure, the financial struggle, the divorce, the disappointment, or whatever you're facing. So today, get your confidence back. Your past doesn't have the final word. Jesus paid the price in full, and you can move forward with your head held high, knowing that you are loved, forgiven, and a joint heir with Christ. Get Your Confidence Back: You Are Not Condemned
Welcome to Living Word! Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot! Today we're talking about being a peacemaker and choosing to bring people together instead of adding fuel to conflict. Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot look at the story of Abigail in 1 Samuel 25 and how she stepped into a tense situation to prevent things from getting worse. Abigail could have taken sides, escalated the situation, or simply stayed out of it. Instead, she stepped forward and tried to bring peace and restore the relationship. It's a powerful picture of what Jesus calls us to be: peacemakers. The Bible says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Sometimes we're presented with a choice. We can push someone further toward the edge, or we can help bring them back. We can throw gasoline on the fire, or we can start watering it down. That applies everywhere—our families, marriages, friendships, workplaces, and even conversations about other people. Before we believe the worst, spread what we've heard, or assume someone meant something the wrong way, we can choose to take it the good way and give people the benefit of the doubt. Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot encourage us to become the people who bring restoration instead of division. When someone is upset, be the person who says, “Maybe there's more to the story. Maybe they didn't mean it that way. Let's calm down.” Be the Abigail. Be the peacemaker. Today, ask yourself: Am I bringing people together, or am I helping drive them apart? God has called us to be people who carry His love and peace into every relationship. Partner with us at wakeuptv.tv Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe! Be the Peacemaker: Stop Adding Fuel to the Fire
Welcome to Living Word! Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot! Today we're talking about **restoring broken relationships through the power of love**. Maybe you're dealing with a child who won't talk to you, a sibling you're no longer close with, a parent you've been separated from, or someone in your family you simply don't agree with. What do you do when the relationship feels broken? Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot turn to **1 Corinthians 13:8: “Love never fails.”** Even when anger, frustration, disagreements, or hurt have entered a relationship, God's answer isn't to stop loving. We're called to keep the door open and continue being a light in someone's life. They talk about what it means to **love people even when you don't agree with their choices**. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop arguing about the things you disagree on and start focusing on the things you still have in common. You don't have to approve of everything someone does to continue showing them the love of Jesus. You'll also hear practical encouragement for rebuilding relationships—keep reaching out, send the message, make the phone call, let them know you're thinking about them, and don't give up just because they don't respond right away. **Love keeps showing up. Love keeps believing. Love keeps the door open.** And when discipline is necessary, it doesn't mean withholding love. Even “tough love” is still love. You can have boundaries and consequences while making sure the person knows, **“You didn't lose me. I still love you.”** If there's a relationship in your life that needs restoration, don't give up. **Put Christ into the crisis and choose a different strategy: love.** God is a God of restoration, and what feels impossible today may not be the end of the story. Whose are you? | Pastor Christian Pruett
Welcome to Living Word! Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot! Today we're talking about getting back into God's house and living in the land He has given us. Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot look at Abraham and the story of the prodigal son to show what happens when we step away from God's ways and try to live according to the world's system. The prodigal son took his inheritance and left his father's house, believing that what the world had to offer would satisfy him. But eventually, he “came to himself” and realized that he needed to go back home. And when he returned, his father didn't reject him or make him earn his way back—he welcomed him with open arms and restored him. Sometimes we can do the same thing. We can slowly stop attending church, become less connected to God's people, and start operating according to the world's way of doing things. But God's house is a place of provision, protection, restoration, and purpose. No matter how far you've wandered or what mistakes you've made, God is still welcoming you home. We're called to be like the Father—not pointing fingers at people who come back, but welcoming them with open arms and celebrating when the lost are found. So this weekend, make God's house a priority. Don't let the distractions of the world keep you from the place God has called you to be. Come Back Home: God Is Waiting to Restore You
Welcome to Living Word! Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason. Today we're talking about the voices in your head and which one you're listening to. Every day, we can hear different voices telling us what we should do, what we can't do, who we are, and what we should believe. But not every voice deserves our attention. Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason look at Luke 4 and the temptation of Jesus, where the enemy tried to get Jesus to question God's Word. Each time Jesus was tempted, He responded with the same powerful truth: “It is written.” Jesus showed us that when the wrong voice comes, we don't have to listen to it—we can answer it with the Word of God. The enemy may try to tell you that you're not good enough, you're not smart enough, or that you should give up. But God's Word tells you who you really are. The more you know God's Word, the more you'll recognize His voice and learn to be led by the Spirit instead of your emotions, your flesh, or the lies of the enemy. Your thoughts matter. Your words matter. And the voice you choose to listen to can shape the direction of your life. Sharpen your sword. Know the Word. Know His voice. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe! Welcome to Living Word! Good morning and welcome to Wake Up, the show where we wake up your faith and your day! Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason are talking about the power of our desires and what happens when we learn to put God first. 🙌 What you chase, you tend to catch—and what you desire can begin to drive your decisions. But what if instead of chasing everything we want, we learned to truly desire God? Psalm 73:25 says, “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.” Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason talk about what it means to delight yourself in the Lord, seek His Word, and pursue His plans for your life. When we seek God first, our desires begin to change, and we can trust Him with our dreams, wants, and future. They also talk about having self-control, especially when it comes to relationships, and how following God's way can reveal whether someone is truly willing to walk alongside you in the right direction. Don't let your desires decide your future—seek God first and allow Him to lead the way! Welcome to Living Word! Good morning and welcome to Wake Up, the show where we wake up your faith and your day! Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason are talking about the power of our words and how we can choose the theme of our day. 🙌 Psalm 45 reminds us that our hearts can overflow with a good theme and that our tongue is like the pen of a ready writer. What are you writing into your day with the words you speak? Instead of expecting everything to go wrong, we can choose to speak words of faith, encouragement, and grace. Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason also talk about how the words we speak over our families and children can help shape their expectations and remind them of who they are. Most importantly, God's grace has been poured upon our lips, and His blessing isn't temporary—it's forever! ❤️ So today, choose a good theme. Speak life. Speak grace. Rewrite your day with faith and expectation for what God has ahead! Be sure to like, share, and subscribe, and let us know in the comments what theme you're choosing for your day! Be Not Weary in Well Doing | Pastor Mat Anderson
Welcome to Living Word! Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason. Today we're talking about hope and where we place our hope when life doesn't go the way we expected. Psalm 146 reminds us that we are blessed when our hope is in the Lord. It's easy to put our hope in our job, our finances, the economy, our circumstances, or the things we think will make us happy. But those things can change. God never fails. Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason talk about how hope in God becomes an anchor for our lives. Even when you wake up facing the same problem you had yesterday, you can still have hope. Maybe you didn't get the promotion, you went through a difficult season, or you're facing uncertainty about the future. Your circumstances don't have to determine your joy because your hope isn't anchored in what's happening around you—it's anchored in God. They also talk about how hope is contagious. When we're filled with hope, we can become a voice of encouragement to the people around us instead of allowing ourselves to be pulled into fear, stress, and discouragement. Today, don't put your hope in what can change. Put your hope in the God who is faithful, who provides, who loves His children, and who always has a plan. Your hope is in Him! Plus, stick around for a hilarious bean-and-chopsticks challenge that you definitely don't want to miss! 😂 Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe!
